Amazon Global Associate (Supply Chain)

Role:

The Supply Chain Amazon Global Associate position is a key role within our strategic plan for supply chain management at Vital Proteins. This role will be responsible  for activities around logistics, inventory management/forecasting, inventory reporting relating to our global Amazon business. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role this role will be located in corporate office in Fulton Market but on occasion will travel to our warehouse and production facility in the Chicago suburbs.

 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Create product listings for Amazon marketplaces (Amazon USA, Europe, and China)
  • Maintaining current online product listings and ensuring accuracy
  • Replenish Amazon FBA inventory weekly based on supply chain forecast
  • Contacting Amazon to resolve product listing issues
  • Following up on any discrepancies or missing products
  • Monitoring product inventory and direct the flow of inventory to Amazon
  • Coordinating with the warehouse regarding inventory related issues
  • Be the expert on item creation and Amazon fulfillment requirements as outlined in the Amazon specs to facilitate speed to market and minimize rework/penalties
  • Support the forecasting/inventory management process by executing ongoing analysis to compare past and current sales combined with pricing and competitive factors to achieve target growth
  • Develop Amazon reporting summaries, search term analytics and competitive benchmarking and make recommendations to drive business KPIs
  • Manage the channel for errors, alerts, questions and inquiries and resolve with a high sense of urgency
  • Monitor marketplace patterns and trends to support our Amazon growth strategy
  • Monitor and make recommendations related to competitive assortment, pricing, and consumer engagement
  • Partner with cross-functional product and operational teams to develop an ongoing pipeline of new marketplace products

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years experience with Amazon Vendor or Seller Central (global experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of retail inventory management, sales analysis, and marketing
  • Proficient with using Excel for data manipulation and analytics
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage the workload & conflicting priorities to meet deadlines
  • Proactive and resourceful in solving problems, making decisions and executing goals
  • Passion for eCommerce & supply chain
  • Experience and knowledge of SAP preferred
  • An interest in continuous improvements
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Must be comfortable working  with all levels of staff and management
  • You are passionate about the health, fitness, and/or beauty market
