What you will be responsible for:

  • Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting controls, policies and procedures
  • Responsible for preparing timely financial reporting packages, including monthly financial summary and operating review, as well as quarterly board packages
  • Analyze variances to budget and prior year and propose actions to improve performance
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators for the business
  • Supervise the timely preparation of all bank and account reconciliations
  • Responsible for developing controls around cash collections and disbursements
  • Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including A/P, A/R and the GL
  • Manage the preparation of an annual budget and regular updated forecasts
  • Prepare information for and coordinate the company’s efforts to support the external annual audit
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including all employee-related matters
  • Assist in the negotiation and structuring of arrangements with vendors
  • Assist in the monitoring and reporting of debt payments and covenant compliance
  • Develop and analyze profitability analysis by product for both actual and budget
  • Cost of sales analysis focusing on direct material and direct labor
  • Manage the process of providing the appropriate levels of credit to customers and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable
  • Manage multiple commissions and bonus programs across the organization
  • Manage and mentor a growing accounting team
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed


Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • CPA and MBA preferred
  • 10 + years of accounting experience
  • Proficient with technology and new systems, comfortable jumping in and learning
  • Experience with SAP and ERP systems
  • Proficient using excel and various data sets
  • Comfortable in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment,
  • Attention to detail, always looking for a way to improve and implement process
  • Comfortable working cross departmentally and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
