Vital Proteins is looking for a dynamic Social Media Associate for our Facebook and Twitter accounts. The Social Media Associate will be the main point of contact on Vital’s Facebook and Twitter communities, managing day-to-day communication. They will also help execute social media content across Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. This position reports to the Social Media Manager and is a great opportunity to be part of a fast-growing team.  

To be successful in the role, you must be passionate about the power of community engagement as it relays to social media. You thrive in creating and facilitating relationships across a wide variety of people and you understand the power social media plays in growing a company.   

What you will be responsible for:

  • Engaging with the Vital Proteins community to bring our brand's customer experience to life across Facebook and Twitter
  • Maintaining the Vital Proteins brand voice and serving as the primary resource for all customers across Facebook and Twitter
  • Troubleshooting customer questions, issues & complaints quickly and efficiently
  • Becoming an expert on the Vital Proteins products & brand and offer exceptional customer service always
  • Developing engaging content calendar for Facebook and Twitter; writing and scheduling daily Facebook and Twitter posts
  • Working knowledge or strong interest in video
  • Scheduling daily Pinterest content
  • Having a working knowledge of Instagram platform and support where necessary
  • Assisting Social Media Manager with Facebook Live and video content
  • Liaising with digital strategists regarding paid campaigns across Facebook and Pinterest (experience with this a plus!)
  • Assisting with social media reporting, providing thoughtful, strategic insight to our product, marketing, sales and technology teams
  • Meeting monthly goals established by Social Media Manager

Who you are:

  • You have an in-depth understanding of top social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Snapchat
  • A self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced and energetic environment
  • An exceptional writer with strong verbal communication skills
  • A quick-learner who takes direction and feedback well
  • Detail oriented
  • You have copywriting experience (preferred)
  • A collaborative person and willing to work after hours or on weekends to support events and respond to customer inquiries on social media platforms
  • You understand that social media is 24/7 and may require monitoring the community during off-hours
  • You have 2-4 years professional experience in marketing, social media or customer service
  • Eager to learn and grow into the social media space
  • You have strong time management and organization skills
