Role:

The Graphic Designer shall assist the Vice President of Design and Senior Graphic Designers in Vital Proteins’ brand positioning, messaging, and image in the nutraceutical marketplace consisting of fitness, beauty, food, and wellness vertical markets.

The Graphic Designer’s primary responsibility is to help articulate the brand’s personality and values through the development of visual media including print materials, advertisements, photography, videography, promotional products, websites, social media content, product labels, and packaging.

The Graphic Designer with work closely with the Vice President of Design and Senior Graphic Designers to execute Vital Proteins internal design needs and carry out the Vital Protein’s brand strategy through his or her work. They must be able to contribute creatively to the evolution of the Vital Proteins brand through creative ideas and solutions. The successful candidate will be confident and exceptionally self-motivated, and thrive in a free-thinking, collaborative, and fast-paced working environment.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Design materials to support the growth of the Vital Proteins brand, including ads, photography, promotional materials, product literature, web pages, and other online content;
  • Create custom illustrations or other graphic elements as needed to enliven designs;
  • Prepare and deliver print-ready materials for printing or publication;
  • Create, update and print labels for products and packaging;
  • Research and source new opportunities ranging from collateral pieces to new vendors
  • Manage file library and archive of creative content such as product photography
  • Develop graphics and creative assets for social media presence
  • Interpret and execute direction from Creative Briefs and the VP of Design
  • Confirm accuracy of all files before going to print; Must exhibit an attention to detail
  • Prep and submit necessary labels and files to ensure compliance
  • Retouch and edit photography for marketing materials
  • Assist with presentation design and layout when needed

Who you are:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a graphic designer in a business or agency  setting
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in a creative field from a four-year college or university
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X Operating systems as well as core business programs such as Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
  • Photography and videography skills are a plus
  • Outgoing, personable and friendly
  • Strong personal interest in health and wellness, fitness, or beauty markets
  • Experience in advertising a plus
  • Product and packaging design experience preferred
