Role:

We are looking for a Territory Manager to support regional field sales execution.  This role in based in the Seattle market, and will report to Regional Sales Manager.  The individual will be instrumental to the growth and scale of the Vital Proteins brand in a geographical area.  This individual will contribute to the overall regional penetration and growth strategy plan, will work collaboratively with his/her Regional Sales Manager and our Trade Marketing Team on field training, promotions, relationships and will work closely with sales operations and sales analyst teams on program ROI and evaluating go to market and category optimization. The role will drive regional sales, education, promotion and execution at the field level.  We seek an individual who is familiar with natural/conventional grocery account sell into and sales support, ideally have existing relationships, a team player and an entrepreneur who thrives in fast paced, dynamic environment who thrives with change, as our culture is a curious one and we continually information-gather, evaluate and evolve. 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Regional revenue responsibility for a defined territory
  • Increasing revenue, engagement and brand awareness in defined territory
  • Working with the corporate resources to drive incremental growth through in store demos, education and field based support
  • Working closely with sales and trade marketing management on trade spend and setting appropriate expectations with accounts
  • Analysis of SPINS data and market trends to help close voids and increase ACV           
  • Evaluating sales promotional/trade spending and effectively track ROI
  • Planning for, participating in, and supporting trade shows, trade events and major sales events

Who you are:

  • You have 2-5+ years of previous selling experience, preferably in a startup and/or CPG.
  • You have established business cadence with regional accounts, independent natural, familiarity with market trends
  • You have a demonstrated record of success and overachievement
  • Motivated, adaptable and able to work with little direction
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing company, able to adapt to change quickly
  • Takes initiative and proactively looks for and suggests improvements
  • You have an innate curiosity and your natural tendency is to act upon it
  • You have great listening, negotiating, and problem-solving skills with a dose of humility
  • You are a student of selling who finds personal satisfaction and joy in closing and building a business
  • You celebrate your success, and the successes of your team even more
  • Have strategic relationships in the health and wellness, fitness or beauty markets
  • Willing to travel 30-50% (including nights and weekends)
