Vice President of E-Commerce

Role:

The Vice President of E-Commerce is a high-impact leadership position that oversees the e-comm business with P&L responsibility. This role is responsible for the creation & implementation of an exceptional digital marketing and e-commerce strategy to deliver record sales growth. It requires a great amount of passion to transform the customer experience across the digital landscape, identifying and pursuing white space opportunities. This includes growth marketing, CRM, and digital content marketing to drive programming that supports both sales and brand awareness. This role is considered part of the executive leadership team; the VP of E-Comm is responsible for developing the digital team. The goal of the VP of E-Commerce is simple: to help Vital Proteins become a thought leader and results-forward powerhouse across all digital touch points.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Envisioning and implementing 3.0 strategy for overall management & success of e-commerce platform (VitalProteins.com) pre IPO
  • Exceeding e-commerce sales goals 
  • Creating a world class e-commerce team and making hiring choices to support next level strategy execution
  • Establishing and leading tech team (engineers, data scientists, UX designers, etc.) to execute vision 
  • Overseeing sub-departments of customer retention, growth marketing + content marketing; developing strategy and maintaining excellence in all three 
  • Concentrating on new customer acquisition a must; nurturing lead systems; audit of current system; improvements and adaptations where necessary
  • Building new system for personalization into digital strategy; further prioritizing subscription program in all efforts 
  • Managing growth strategy including paid social, display, Amazon and SEO/SEM
  • Managing digital content marketing including social media program and editorial staff 
  • Increasing sales and ROAS across all areas of job function; maintaining a strong ACOS

Who you are:

  • 12+ years running e-commerce platform (VP level or above), acting as General Manager for e-commerce function with a strong track record in revenue growth 
  • Graduated from a leading undergraduate program; MBA 
  • Has extensive experience working in diverse environments and cultures, having worked in both high growth/start up and large company environments 
  • Decisive leader, passionate about leading and developing cross-functional teams 
  • Always thirsty for new challenges and constant improvement
  • Has an intense drive for excellence and sense of urgency 
  • Passion, attitude, aptitude & enthusiasm to champion this team 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; possesses agility to work with leadership remotely 
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed with stints in Chicago with Vital Proteins leadership
