Senior Manager, Project Management and Commercialization

Role:

The Senior Manager, Project Management and Commercialization is responsible for the Project Management department.  The successful candidate will implement, lead and manage the Project Management department and continue to refine through best practices.  This position requires robust experience in project/program planning and management, developing and maintaining a governance board and executing reporting throughout the organization.  The main functions of this job will be threefold: 1. Maintaining the PMO through governance, alignment and reporting 2. Execution of project/program management including timelines, resource allocation and budgets 3. Process improvement and optimization in a rapidly changing environment. This role will report out of our West Loop headquarters and report to the Director, Innovation and Marketing.

 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Plan, develop and roll-out key PMO processes and procedures for new product launches and company initiatives
  • Continue to look for improvement strategies and ability to critically provide feedback to respective teams
  • Manage the governance of the PMO process and procedures, be comfortable communicating cross departmentally and hold team accountable to projects and deadlines
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets and then, present the data clearly, concisely and accurately to necessary stakeholders involved
  • Structure and oversee internal governance department

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 + years of proven experience in various aspects of project/program management
  • Strong skills in project/program management and PMO tools such as MS Project, Planview, Clarity
  • Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess leadership skills (taking initiative, motivating, mentoring), interpersonal skills (relating to others), dedication (taking ownership, meeting deadlines, prioritization), communication skills (strong written and verbal communications), flexibility, and have a positive attitude
  • Proven ability of working in a team environment and with virtual teams
  • Prior experience is preferred in the CPG or health and wellness space
  • PMP certification is preferred, and prior supply chain/operations experience is a plus
