Strategic Operations Manager

Role:

You will be responsible for building brand loyalty, brand buzz and brand value in the LA region by leading a large field marketing program that connects Vital Proteins to the consumer and drives awareness of Collagen Water. The program is committed to constant activity in this targeted area and requires energetic and resourceful stewardship of company resources to achieve goals.  This role will oversee the implementation of event sponsorships both small and large across a multitude of venues. This role reports to the LA Site Operations Lead and is based in our Inglewood, CA office.

 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing a robust LA Field Marketing program for Vital Proteins and directing 3 Field Marketing Associates.
  • Overseeing the field marketing operational plan and execution for LA region; leading and developing a team to ensure delivery of program metrics
  • Overseeing utilization of national and local assets, including branded vehicles
  • Maximizing activation of local events through the use of a large Field Specialist and Brand Advocate (BA) teams 
  • Managing team’s operational function of strategic spend, inventory management, legal guidelines, event tracking reports, program recaps & measurements
  • Ensuring strong level of communication with LA Site Lead and providing liason and reporting as needed to HQ Brand Activation team.

 

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience in Field Marketing/Sales, CPG experience preferred, beverage experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must possess significant contacts in the LA region and be able to draw upon previous BA, Venue and Municipal contacts and experiences.
  • Creative problem solver and strategic thinker who brings passion, enthusiasm and fresh ideas
  • Proven track record of being organized, dependable and self-motivated
  • Experience managing (including coaching and developing) direct reports in a field based setting
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Hustle, flexibility and drive to get things done
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and early mornings
  • You are passionate about the health, fitness and beauty communities and have your finger on the pulse of these industries
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and understand English
